Riftbound night

The other half of the Demo server plays Riftbound, at three stores. This page follows Anna through a week: a store, an event, a deck that is missing a card, and the cards she lends and borrows.

The stores

Anna plays at The Card Corner in Leuven, so she adds it and marks it as hers:

  • /store add name:The Card Corner city:Leuven. A city, never an address: the list is for members, but it is still about where people are.
  • /store mine store:The Card Corner.

Bram adds Dragon's Den Games in Brussels, Daan Meeple Market in Ghent. Where we play lists all three, with their regulars.

An event, and who is going

The Card Corner holds a Nexus Night on Saturday. Anna runs /event going store:The Card Corner when: with the date and 19:00, in Brussels time because that is the server's time zone. The channel sees:

Bram presses Going. Under Coming up, Where we play shows who goes where, and Monday's report lists the event with its names. An event made in Discord's own Events list works too: Interested counts as going.

Looking up a card

Anna's deck is built around Ahri. In Discord, /card name:Ahri finds her Legend, Nine-Tailed Fox:

The card's page on the site lists its printings, and under Who has it? the members of her servers with copies to lend. Bram and Chloé are there. Daan has one too, but his profile is private, so he is not listed.

Collection and trades

Anna keeps her collection on the site: Cards, Edit my collection, and the steppers on each card. What the steppers count switches between Owned, For trade and To lend. My collection lists the cards she owns, with the same steppers, and sums them up per set, rarity and language. Members of her servers see those totals on her profile, because it is set to Server members.

Anna's collection

Cards marked For trade are matched against the wishlists of the other members of her servers. The server's Trades page shows Anna the cards she wants that someone has for trade, with where they could meet: an event they are both going to, a store they are both regulars at, or else the nearest store by city. When a new match turns up, the bot DMs her once. The trade itself happens at the table, between people: no prices or payments go through the bot.

Lending

Bram lends everything he owns, so his copies show under Who has it? without marking each one. He brings two cards to Nexus Night and records it:

/lend member:@Anna cards:… with the cards, and a due date.

Anna gets Confirm and Dispute buttons in the channel, and confirms. Anna lends her own cards the same way: to Chloé, who has not confirmed yet, and to Finn, who disputed because he got one card, not two. Elise gave hers back, so Anna ran /return member:@Elise.

My loans keeps it all in one place: what she has of Bram's, who has hers, and what is unconfirmed, disputed or overdue. Only Anna and the other member see a loan.
